Black, O'Dowd and Associates (BOA) was founded in 1961, and is located in Long Beach, California. Our current work encompasses new construction and rehabilitation projects, including institutional, municipal, and military facilities. We have extensive experience in the areas of building retrofit/repair, historic preservation, and accessibility primarily on behalf of the public sector clients, including municipalities, State and Federal agencies. With our over five decades of continuous practice, the firm's professional staff of architects, planners, and design specialists has designed and master planned over 600 projects for over 40 municipalities and public agencies.

The senior technical staff at BOA (personnel that will be involved in the design and production of your project) are licensed architects that have been employed at BOA for a minimum of nine years. The resultant teamwork has been increased production efficiency, and an excellent record for meeting schedules and for projects which are under budget.
